I'm looking for a 24 by 24" piece and a 2" strip at least 2 feet long (prefferably 3 ft long). I plan to use these to make a quiver, and would prefer relatively heavy leather (7-10 oz). Does anyone have any leftover? I am willing to pay for the shipping and/or leather.
I get some real nice oiled leather from leather unlimited it's scraps or remnants but you buy it by I think in 5 or 10 pounds and there are nice bigs pieces that should fit the bill and it's cheap
Thanks for the info, I thought that the scrap bags were going to be a bunch of 3 by 5" pieces.
I ordered myself one of those scrap bags months ago and managed to make a nice quiver out of it. Thanks for the offers/suggestions, but I already got the leather I needed.
Hello all. New traditional member here. I have no idea why I never ran across the forum before. Glad I did. Anyway, Sven and Bloodtrail, could you give me some more direction on the scrap bags of leather you buy from Leather Unlimited? I see scrap bags, but the only 5 oz. bags I see are black. Looking for something brown to make a new quiver. Also, short of offending any professional quiver makers out there, does anyone have a good pattern for a "Wilderness" style side quiver. I can probably figure it out from photos, but it would be great to save the trial and error. I'm sick of flagging deer and turkeys with my back quiver! Anyway, thanks for your help.
