made a 12 strand flemish twist for now anyway...got her ready to finish..What type of stain do you guys use on boo...Any suggestions?...Oh ole gut chickened out guys on the antler tips...I just couldn't bring myself to do it..I stared at the bow for a long time and just decided to let her be for now..I didn't want to screw her up, maybe on the next one I'll do it...LOL...She ended up at 52Lbs at 24"..close enough for me..I had to cut off 3 inches so she is 55 1/2 NTN..I wish I could post some pics...will shoot her tonight if it stops raining...gut<br>

Well the deciding factor on the tips was I had to cut her down to 55" so if I did screw up on my first attempt at antler tips it would of been the end of her..couldn't have that now could we...too much work involved from both ends here to let her go to waste.Especially on the glue up end...Next one will be sporting antler tips and a fade finish. Keenan and I have thrown around some suggestions on a fancy idea...just might surprise you guys....gut<br>
<P> Probably a wise choice Gut, And sounds like it turned out to be an awesome bow. You might give our idea a try on some old scraps from a blown up bow.If you dont have any of those I can show you how to make them as well.,,,,lo,,,,,,,Just chose bad wood, be real careless with the draw knife and go to full draw befor warming up the limbs. it works every time.You can get alot of experimental pieces with this method,,,,,,,I've proved it,,,ps . LOL Keenan...I ain't got any scraps yet, knock on wood ,but if I keep building bows I sure will..You just built so many more that the law of averages caught up with ya...Actually I thought I had lost this one..I went to brace her and one limb just collasped...folded back in a the reflexed area....got lucky I guess , took a little off on the strong limb an twisted the string for a higher brace and whalla..she held up....Dad got put back in the hospital last night ..His cancer lung is infected so they still can't pull it out and I got a cold and I can't even go see him..so tonight I am going after a deer with the boo bow just for him..Ain't nothin safe....gut<br>
