“So long as the new moon returns in heaven a bent, beautiful bow, so long will the fascination of archery keep hold of the hearts of men.” Maurice Thompson
Been here three times and well worth the drive and time.
Many very friendly people and very helpful "teachers".
See you there.
DEATHMASTER
looking to be a great turn-out!
I'm going to make the trip to Brad's place for Bo-Jam. From what I've heard about past gatherings, it will be a blast... and with help from all of the "mentors" there I should finally get my osage bow finished. Tom
Just got back from Bow-Jam. What a neat event. About 40-50 adults and a flock of youngsters were on site at one time or another learning about building selfbows. Brad Merkel and Shaun Webb were very helpful with first-timers. The blue grass music was delightful Friday evening and the food was spectacular. I took a bow blank I got from Gary Davis and an osage stave to work on at the Jam. The Davis blank was a shootable bow within an hour or so. The stave was shaped and floor tillered when I headed out this morning. Great event. Tom
