This morning I wanted to shoot out back, so I grabbed a bow and some arrow's (carbon) and headed out. First arrow was as perfect as it could be. The second made a very odd sound when I released the string. I felt a horrible pain from my ware my thumb joins my hand that went on between thumb and fore finger . I looked up at the sky and thought "ok maybe that didn't just happen". Well it did. I am lucky that I only had small strips of carbon splinters and a good deep scratch as a lesson to BEND THE ARROW before I shoot. I was sure I got out, and very lucky that it did not just go straight through like that one picture going around the archery web sites.
