Supurb deer and bear if you are willing to work for it. if I can not fing any trad shooters to hange out with then I will be forced to creep threw the woods with an Elite Synergy XT.

MaCat1-
I'm in Sacramento and new to archery and pretty new to hunting as well. I'm becoming a decent shot and ready and wanting to go hog hunting and dear when the season begins.
I have not found any local groups yet, but there are a couple of local 3D shoots on tuesdays and thursdays I think. They are through the Maya Archers club of Roseville and they do apparently have a trad classification. I haven't made it out yet.
If you are interested try their website, or let me know if you are interestsed in hogs and don't mind going with someone inexperienced but enthusiastic and ready to learn.

Good luck,
Che

MatCat1,

I ain't from Cali (but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express there once). I can tell ya this, the BBQ joint across from the school in Truckee, CA is REALLY good. I think it was called Smokey's or something like that. I was in Reno, NV in Feb. and drove over to see the lake and all. Just happened to stumble into it. If your that way, give it a try.

If your looking for Trad. archery folks try this (when ever I travel I do it all the time, it's amazing how well it works). Whenever you make a stop, gas station, rest stop, bathroom break...anywhere. Get your bows and arrows out. Not to shoot or anything, just get them out and "inspect" them, like your making sure they are all OK. Most stickbow shooters have a built in radar for traditional equipment. If any are around they will find you. Some of the folks that come over to have a look are stickbow types and they just don't know it yet too!

Like I said, I'm not from that country but have been through it a few times. Your gonna love it.

Safe journey,
OkKeith
