i havent made it out to look for sheds yet, but i will try soon. seems like its been snowing every day here in southern wisconsin( about 24in. of ground cover). snow will make it hard ,but shed hunting beats riding the couch!!!!

amen,longbowdave1,everyone is telling me the deer are dropping but you can't prove it by me,i'm not seeing any antlers on deer along the road on my way home from work but i'm not finding any in the traditional winter grounds for the bachelor groups. i'm finding sign of the deer being there but alas no antlers, maybe another week.its been a pretty easy winter here so far, today we got freezing rain and snow, about 6 inches of snow and 1/4 of ice,i kept my mangy hide in the house and made a couple pound of elk jerky.hope you and yours stays warm and safe cause from looking at the weather you guys are getting beat up pretty bad,24 inches of snow on!can you say snowshoes!!!

i was going to try for sheds this weekend, but i will work on a bow i'm making for a friend insted. the temp is going to drop below zero tonight and 10 14 inch snowfall predicted for satuday and into sunday. i might find more frozen deer with horns on than sheds if i went out, it may be a tough winter for the fawns and old deer. this next snow fall will move us into the 5th snowiest winter on record.

good luck
dave

i drove past a guys place yesterday that sales urine ,his bucks were down loafing close to the road, total of 5 bucks, all at least 150in or better in their antler season,2 had completely lost they'res and the remaining 3 still had one antler left on.
