roy, you sure do make some pretty arrows, i been watching you on here and you just get better and better. hope that one brings down a nice venison meal.

pretty sweet fer an old man...gut
Awesome arrow Roy!

I really like the stone head and antler nock.

Hope that one finds the lungs of a deer soon.

That is one beautiful arrow. Love the stone point too. I always love natural turkey feathers.
I have been straightenin some river cane, but has not cured yet. Would love to get hold of some points like that one. Curious how many grains that point might weigh and how wide the point is? Here, in Florida stone points are legal, but have to be minimum of 7/8" wide and no barbs. Hope my arrows come out as nice as that one.

TheWildCat

The point weighs about 90 grains and is 1 inch wide. I can provide you the e-mail addy of the man who made it. I'm sure he would sell you some. Let me know..

Yes I would like his e-mail address, mine is WesFHW@Leeschools.net . 1" is perfect width, and 90 grains is great. I am finding my cane arrows are coming in round 420 grains. Was hoping a little lighter, but they are not. I wanted to keep my arrows near 500 grains or lower. They are still a little green, but don't think they will loose much more weight. With a 90 grain point, 510 total ain't bad. A 50 lb. bow is bout all I can muster since my sholder surgery, and perfer round 45 lbs. Its my understanding , that you should keep your arrows to approx. 10 grains per pound of bow. I haven't put them to spline test yet, wainting till they are totally cure. I cut enough cane to get roughly 100 shafts in the end. Should be able to come up with some matches there. I hope. Thanks fer the reply. Again, those are awsome arrows.

TheWildCat

Wes, I just sent you and the fellow who knapped the flint head an e-mail. You are both included in the e-mail. But your e-mail came back to me as refused? Roy
