<P>Nice bow John, great idea on those tips. Looks like a contender to me. Steve</P>
<P>Nice John. About how deep is it in the handle, I'm guessing around 1"? Dacron or FastFlight string? Tiller is beautiful. Good luck.</P>
Sweet bow John. More what I'd be shooting for with a short tip-flipped bow. These guys making stiff-handled bows at this length boggle the mind. Your design is much nearer to bomb-proof IMO. I like the tip idea. I use a step-through method though, seems much safer to me (if not the bow).
This brings up another question. How is length measured on a recurved style bow? Tip/tip unstrung in a straight line, or tracing along the belly side? Think I'll ask in another thread.
NICE!!!!!!!<br><br>

<P>PLUS you can buy it on St Judes auction on TradGang!<IMG src="http://www.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif" align=absMiddle border=0><IMG src="http://www.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif" align=absMiddle border=0></P>
I like that bow John.<BR><BR>It looks like it could be shocky on release. How does it feel?<BR>
Great looking bow John!<br><br> Last year my daughter and I made one of a similar design but more deflexed in the handle. Man,,is it a shooter, I just haven't gotten the guts to build one at the heavier weights yet myself but it looks like you sure got it figured out. Good Luck in the contest!<br>
People think leaving a bow 5/8" out to near the tips would be shocky, but I have a BBO that is every bit of that width and it doesn't bite ya. Its like a Cherokee bow, of course I suppose theirs were a little longer.
Thanks all.<BR><BR>DCM, it is 11/16" thick at the handle. I used a B-50 string although I have a Fastflight one on the way that I won in the St. Jude's auction at Tradgang that should work. I'm gonna try that.<BR><BR>Lennie, as for measuring length, I don't know. That's why I included both

<BR><BR>Nosage, it definitely has more shock than a straight limbed bow but not so much as to be a bother IMO. I think it has much more to do with the recurving than the tip weight added by the overlay.<BR>
